John Diaz is the Founder and Managing Partner of Stone Mountain Ventures. His focus is on early stage investments throughout the healthcare, AI, consumer and technology space. Before founding Stone Mountain Ventures, John worked at Bain Capital Private Equity as an Associate, Grant Park Ventures as an Advisor, and Wellington Management as a Business Development Associate. He previously interned with Bloomberg and Goldman Sachs and received his BBA in Finance and Risk Management from St. Mary’s University. John is also on the Alumni Board of Directors for St. Mary's University. Additionally, he has founded 2 companies and operated multiple businesses.
Sophie Cowie is the Chief of Staff at Stone Mountain Ventures and supports the firms administrative and operations functions. Sophie has worked with the firms founder and executive board since 2023. Outside of work she is passionate about graphic design and photography. Sophie holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Collin College.
Brian Lewis joined Stone Mountain Ventures in 2023, where he primarily is responsible for executing transactions and assisting in portfolio management post-close. Prior to joining the fund, Brian worked at RBC Capital Markets in their Financial Institutions Group, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and capital markets transactions.
He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and will be joining J.P. Morgan's Investment Banking Division covering Media & Communications.
